Our Entertainment Specialists Trial 'VR'
The virtual reality experience transformed our team, of usually calm and collected entertainment specialists, into excitable primary school children as they waited for their turn on the 360 virtual environment. The Extreme VR Experience gave employees something new to talk about and it created a buzz around the office throughout the day. We can’t describe the feeling to you so you will have to watch the video to get an overview of just how some of our employees reacted.
We work with thousands of acts and to be able to understand them sometimes you’ve got to try them. For us to share entertainment options with our clients we first have to fully understand how they work and the best way to get the maximum impact out of them. To do this, we work closely with our artists and always look for an opportunity to experience them first hand.
We have seen an increase in technology related enquiries recently with virtual reality (VR) being one of the most popular current entertainment trends. When speaking to one of the industry experts they told us: “you can't describe the experience, it's something you just have to try…”
To kick off our ‘technology takeover’ and to gain a further insight into the world of virtual reality our Artist Content Manager, Nick Hewlett invited the Extreme VR Experience Team into our UK Office to showcase over 25 different immersive experiences.
“Nothing can prepare you for the sensation and incredible feeling of motion that the simulator creates.” - Freya Britton, Marketing Executive
Many of the team still can’t describe the feeling of their first VR encounter and this is the case for most that try it. The Extreme VR Experience created an electric atmosphere in the office that brought the team closer together. The game gave employees something interesting talking points about innovative ways it could be used at event and it created an energetic buzz around the office throughout the day. We can’t describe the feeling to you so you will have to watch the video below to get an overview of just how some of our employees reacted.
After speaking with others in the team we came to the conclusion this immersive experience is one that we can not describe, which is what makes the Extreme VR Experience so great! It’s just something you have to try for yourself.
In a conversation with our Artist Content Manager, Nick Hewlett, Iwan Kūchenberg, Account Manager recommended him to try the bungee after his wild experience.
Iwan described the events of his experience as best as he could:
“Standing there gave me a realistic impression that I was stood on top of a bridge and bungee jumping in real time. I thought I was shouting during the bungee and when I took off the VR headset my knees were still shaking.”
Sean from the Extreme VR Experience commented on his time showing the team the Virtual reality experience "Everybody was suitably impressed with the technology and above all that they enjoyed it. I know I had sore cheeks from laughing at their responses."
We create connections through shared experience Scholars of Yale University state that:“Sharing an experience with another person, without communicating, amplifies one’s experience.” This, in turn, creates greater scope to find relatable and meaningful interactions perfect for networking events and team building.
