This ensemble is inspired by the hot swinging music that emerged from the infamous Parisian Cafes and nightclubs of the 1920s & 1930s.

The band put on a show which celebrates both the romanticism of the finest musettes and waltzes from the French tradition and the burning excitement of those hot gypsy swing numbers made famous by Django Reinhardt.

With a nod to those American jazz musicians visiting Paris, such as Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, the group features both trumpet and clarinet alongside the timeless two-guitars and double-bass line-up.

The perfect mix of European finesse and the restless fervor of American swing, this act are the modern-day embodiment of the spirit of a by-gone age.

And many more...

"...swinging fast … an authentic wall of sound … romantic and distinctly Parisian angle …quite striking and perfect, it all felt rather filmic ...Latin/swing dexterity ...the rhythms were tight and hot. THis Orchestra definitely reside within the cabaret end of jazz but their combined individual skill almost makes them a crossover ensemble."

- Jeanie Barton - London Jazz

"...this 36-year-old musician who regularly attracts more than 250 dapper vintage enthusiasts to his midweek swing nights."

- Jane Mulkerrins. - The Times

"...Something very beautiful: the Orchestra combine French chanson, musette with swing. A very addictive mixture."

- Nathan Nörgel - Wasser-Prada (Germany)

"...If you missed their show, you missed a treat. - We’d all be much happier if the Orchestra's music was the soundtrack to our lives."
