What’s been going on in the event industry this week we hear you ask? Too much to roundup in one event industry news article that’s for sure, but we’ve picked out some of our five favourite news pieces from the likes of Event Magazine, TechCrunch and Conference and Meetings World.

1) £42.3 bn, 35%, 10,000

2) Etsy Pop Up Shop

Many have enjoyed John Lewis’ Oxford Street rooftop garden this summer.  One of its last events before it is due to close on 4 September is Etsy’s pop up shop which will be open 25 – 29 August.

3) Live Event Videos

Instagram has launched another video feature, this time as part of its Explore tab. The video channel will make accessible user videos taken during specific popular events, including concerts and sporting events.

4) IMEX Reconfigures

IMEX America has completely reinvented its Association Focus for this year’s event in October. Set to be ‘an entirely new learning experience’, you can read more about the changed at Conference and Meetings World.
