Scarlett Entertainment’s Apprenticeship Scheme A Success
Scarlett Entertainment has successfully incorporated a fantastic apprenticeship scheme into several of its departments, and is extremely proud of the valuable team members this programme has produced.
Sophie Barons joined as the company’s first apprentice in April 2015, working within the Accounts Department. Kirsty Gibbons, Scarlett Entertainment’s Finance & Operations Manager, had previously worked as an apprentice herself and saw the need to expand the Accounts team as a fantastic opportunity to implement an apprenticeship programme.
A great way to bring highly valued staff members to each department, the scheme has gone from strength to strength since Sophie’s apprenticeship began. Having completed the programme, Sophie is now employed as the Accounts Assistant, and over the last year has successfully completed the NVQ Level 2 of her Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.
Sophie believes it was the “best decision I have ever made”, saying that the scheme “has enabled me to gain practical experience as well as study and complete exams at the same time, with certificates and a full time job to show for it at the end.”
Also working towards an apprenticeship at the company is Brandon Wing, Scarlett Entertainment’s Artist Relations Apprentice. Working alongside Artist Content Manager Becky Polding, Brandon joined the team in November 2015, and has almost completed his course, saying of the opportunity that “I have learned a lot about the working environment and gained valuable experience” and that he is “grateful to have been given the opportunity to work and learn new skills in a great company”.
