Astronaut Act Takes Space Centre Back to 1969
Bringing a museum-quality Apollo astronaut space suit to the National Space Centre’s Moon Landing celebrations in Leicester over the weekend, Scarlett Entertainment is thrilled to have organised our Walk Around Astronaut to be a part of its 50th Anniversary.
The space-themed anniversary was a private event organised by Boundless, a unique experiences provider aiming to help Civil Servants and Public Sector workers make the most out of their free time.
Celebrating the very first moon landing and the ‘giant leap for mankind’ made by Apollo 11 back in July 1969, Boundless put together an out-of-this-world members’ gala full of NASA speakers, cocktails and space centre tours.
Dressed from head to toe in a high-quality replica of the spacesuit worn by the Apollo astronauts on the first moon landing back in 1969, our Walk Around Astronaut launched the evening on a high, interacting with guests and posing for photos at the two drinks receptions.
Appearing again after the gala dinner, our spaceman made an infinite impression on the guests with his impressive retro space suit and interactive meet and greet act.
Featuring on the famous British science fiction television series Doctor Who in 2011, our Astronaut performer was one of the key characters in ‘The Impossible Astronaut’; the first episode in the sixth series. Acting as the ‘Doctor’ from 200 years into the future in the episode, our spaceman is recognised by Doctor Who fans throughout the UK.
With many space-themed events happening across the UK in celebration of the 50th Moon Landing Anniversary, we have a large range of space entertainment options for you to choose from for your event. Contact our team for inspiration and blast off your event with quality entertainment.
