When it comes to finding the best trade show entertainment for our clients, we take our jobs very seriously. How To Attract Visitors To Your Exhibition Stand: Great Examples!
UAE and Dubai trade shows: Titan, the go-to trade show robot
One of the most in-demand types of trade show entertainment, robots are the go-to choice for many exhibitors. In this case, our very own Titan the Robot was the chosen robot to interact with event attendees and other exhibitors. This gigantic character instantly caught the attention of everyone around, encouraged interaction and helped generate online buzz with tons of people gathering around it to take photos and record videos to share on their social channels.
Anime Expo: Bespoke walkabout acts
The largest celebration of Japanese pop culture in North America, the Anime Expo is the perfect opportunity for anime lovers to catch up and share their passion! This four-day event normally attracts thousands of anime fans who dress up as their favourite characters. Given the floods of people wearing costumes, wigs and masks, it seems there’s no better opportunity for bespoke walkabout characters to make an appearance and encourage participation and social media sharing. We’ll save you time: minute 4.17 of the below video is what we’re talking about!
Electronica: Interactive activities and online sharing!
Electronica is the world’s leading trade fair and conference for the electronic industry. In 2018, attendees enjoyed a variety of entertainment experiences including VR car simulators and boxing challenges, activities that were linked to some of the products that different brands were presenting. A giant hashtag wall was also set up for everyone to see what was being shared online and to encourage social media sharing among attendees themselves.
NBWA’s Trade Show & Convention: Arcade games, Photobooths, impersonators, beer tasting and speakers
The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) in North America hold an annual trade show and convention so exhibitors can show off their services and get their products in the hands of thousands of distributors, brewers, and associate members. Given the nature of their business, different beer tasting experiences took place throughout the four-day event. Other activities and entertainment spotted at this trade fair include arcade games, photobooths, a Michael Jackson impersonator and different speakers. The result? Watch the event highlights and judge yourself.
ISSA Cleantex Africa: Barista service and caricaturists
The ISSA Cleantex Africa is the continent’s professional cleaning, hygiene, laundry and FM services exhibition with co-located workshops and forums. A few of the exhibitors trusted two of the most in-demand trade show entertainment options in recent years: barista services and caricaturists. Coffee and caricatures are two of the most effective ways to draw people to your exhibition’s stand. They give attendees an opportunity to interact and network with the added bonus of getting a memory of the event in the form of a fun cartoon!
The London Marathon Running Show: Treadmills, photo booths and interactive games
The London Marathon Running Show offers exhibitors from the running, health and fitness industries a unique opportunity to connect with thousands of runners. Lots of interactive activities are spotted at the expo annually. Our favourites: training equipment such as giant treadmills to test runners; bowling alleys, football and air-hockey tables to encourage competition; a social media wall to share messages and photobooths to immortalise all these moments!
WasteExpo: Sand sculptures, DJs, live music, VR simulators and mind mapping artists
The WasteExpo is considered the Super Bowl of expos. North America’s largest solid waste, recycling and organics tradeshow, it serves both the private and public sectors. In their latest edition, attendees were welcomed by a giant sand sculpture designed for EREF (the federation of national renewable energy associations from EU Member States) and could enjoy live performances by a DJ and a singing guitarist. On top of that, VR car simulators were set up to encourage drivers to focus on safety when they’re behind the wheel and various exhibitors trusted mind mapping artists to create a unique design to explain different concepts. All in all, a perfect mix of entertainment ideas!
FITUR: World dancers, calligraphers, flower walls, walkabout characters and live music
FITUR is the global meeting point for tourism professionals and the leading fair for receptive and issuing markets in Latin America. With this mixture of cultures under one roof, the entertainment options seem obvious, and still effective: world dancers including flamenco dancers to represent Andalusia; African dancers and drummers to encourage trips to Africa; Japanese calligraphers to attract those planning to visit Japan, and so on. Other entertainers spotted: walkabout characters (Medieval and mascots), live musicians, event hostesses and flower walls to provide a stunning background for those wanting to take photos and share them on social media.
