Celebrity Spotting on New Year’s Eve – The Hottest NYE Parties!
New Year’s Eve … the biggest party night of the year. On December the 31st, we’ll either be putting our glad rags on and hitting the town, or watching the festivities from the comfort of our sofa. But what will celebrities be doing on December the 31st this year? Whilst some A-Listers will be organising or attending lavish parties at some of the world’s most exclusive venues, others will be performing in glamorous surroundings for VIP audiences.
One of the hottest tickets in town is The Snoopadelic Cabaret at the TAO in Las Vegas. The venue is being transformed in to a speakeasy for the 1920s themed event that is being hosted by Snoop Dogg. The Hip Hop legend is performing a DJ set on the night and guests are encouraged to dress up 20s style! For those that want to catch a glimpse of the socialite Paris Hilton, she will be spinning the decks at the exclusive Hyde Bellagio in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Bruno Mars fans can ring in the New Year by watching the chart topper at Tryst Nightclub at Wynn.
Pulling out all the stops this New Year’s Eve, Dubai will host a superstar extravaganza with performances from Pharrell, Busta Rhymes and Paul Oakenfold at this year’s DXBNYE at the Meydan venue. It is the first time that Pharrell has performed in Dubai and is being marketed as the biggest New Year’s Eve party in the emirate.
Elton John will perform on New Year’s Eve in New York City for the first time when he headlines a concert at Barclays Center on December 31st. Part of the high profile ‘Dick Clark's New Year's Eve’ celebrations in Times Square, Taylor Swift and Ryan Seacrest have also been announced as headliners for the event that will be attended by a million people and watched by a global TV audience of 1 billion people.
For those that just want to rub shoulders with the rich and famous on New Year’s Eve, then there are plenty of opportunities to do a little bit of celebrity spotting at exclusive venues around the world. New York’s 40/40 Club (co-owned by Jay-Z and the venue of choice for Rihanna’s NYE party last year), Las Vegas’ Hakkasan at MGM Grand and Miami Beach’s Soho Beach Club are some of the regular hangouts for familiar faces in the US . In London, a city that will also host its fair share of VIP celebrations, celebrities are often found at haunts that include Mahiki in Mayfair, McQueen in Shoreditch and the Wellington Club in Knightsbridge. For those celebrities not performing or hosting on New Years’s Eve, you can bet some of them will be running up some pretty big bar bills at all the best night spots around the world. It was recently reported that Jay-Z once ran up a bill of $250,000 (£159,738) at a New Year’s Eve concert in 2012, whilst Paris Hilton was rumoured to have run up a bill of $230,000 (£146,930) at a New York club earlier this year.
