2014's Most Entertaining Proposals

The team at Scarlett Entertainment are lucky enough to regularly get asked to help create memorable and life-changing events and experiences for individuals, and surprise wedding proposals are one of our favourites! Over the last 12 months the team has helped to organise musicians, photographers and flower deliveries as part of special romantic wedding proposals around the world; from China to Paris!

Here we look at a roundup of some of the most romantic moments in 2014!

2014's Most Entertaining Proposals

Seville, Spain

The stunning setting for this surprise proposal was the famous Plaza de Espana in Seville where Scarlett Entertainment’s classical singer and musicians were waiting to serenade the couple in style. The Barcelona String Quartet and soprano were asked to perform a number of special songs including Bach’s Aria suite No.3 and Canon by J. Pachelbel, during which our client got down one knee and she said yes!  Our photographer was also on hand to capture the special occasion.

2014's Most Entertaining Proposals

Florence, Italy

Team Italy were asked to organise the setting, flowers and background music for a surprise wedding proposal in the beautiful Italian city of Florence.  After booking a table at the intimate Ristorante La Loggia, it was arranged for Scarlett Entertainment’s singer Jacopo and an accompanying saxophonist to perform ‘All You Need is Love’ at just the right moment so that the client could pop the question!  She said yes, before a bunch of long-stemmed roses were delivered to the blushing bride-to-be.

2014's Most Entertaining Proposals

Paris, France

Where else would you propose in the most romantic city in the world, but under the Eiffel Tower?  Well, that’s exactly where one of our clients planned to propose with the help of one of Scarlett Entertainment’s classical violinists Irene.  As well as performing their special song during the Valentine’s Day proposal, the thoughtful musician also sent them a recording of the song following the event for them to use on the DVD they created of their engagement.
Another proposal which took place in Paris in 2014 was on the romantic Ponte de Arts Bridge which is on the Seine River in the centre of the city.  Our undercover buskers performed ‘Marry Me’ by Train as our client asked his girlfriend to marry him.  She said yes.

2014's Most Entertaining Proposals

Beijing, China

The team booked our band in Beijing to perform at a proposal after our client flew all the way out there to propose to his girlfriend!  He was so happy after she said yes, that he emailed Scarlett Entertainment with his heartfelt thanks; “thanks to Scarlett Entertainment for helping create a wonderful and memorable evening for us both ... The band were fantastic ... As soon as she said yes, the band started to play and it was a perfect end to a perfect night. They played brilliant cover versions of the songs and even sung the Chinese song wonderfully! Thank you again. Thank you and thanks to the band."

2014's Most Entertaining Proposals

Stansted Airport, London

Like something from a Hollywood Film, one lucky lady was proposed to at Stansted Airport in front of crowds of travellers as she was on her way to New Zealand to start a new life with her boyfriend.  With a beautiful and romantic message displayed on a tablet, he kneeled on the floor as our acoustic duo performed John Legend’s ‘All of Me’ and ‘Marry Me’ by Train to create the perfect setting.  She said yes, before they jetted off to begin their new life on the other side of the world.
