Hailing from Scotland, jazz singer Louise Dodds has been taking her mix of jazz standards, vocalese numbers and original material throughout the UK and beyond, including a 3 month stint as resident vocalist at the 7 star Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai from April until June 2009. Louise is now resident in London.
Her vast repertoire consists of all the well loved American Songbook Standards, vocalese versions of classic bebop tunes and modern jazz songs. A highly competent performer and band leader Louise performs with bands of all sizes ranging from a basic duo with piano or guitar to a full size band of any size.
In December 2005 she released an album of jazz standards and vocalese numbers, and since then , Louise Dodds has been invited to play at many prestigious venues, including two headline spots at London’s Pizza on the Park, has toured the UK and appeared at many festivals.
