Bjorn Again is the original ABBA tribute show. Started in 1988 by Australian managing director Rod Leissle, the hype and demand surrounding Bjorn Again prompted original band members Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus to release the ABBA GOLD album.
Although the unprecedented success of Bjorn Again spawned a plethora of imitation tributes, Bjorn Again remains the most well-known, earning the support and endorsement of ABBAs original band members - in 1992 they were invited to perform on National Swedish Television to promote the release of their ABBA GOLD CD; in 1995 they were asked to accept the Radio Times Award on behalf of ABBA at the Savoy in London, and in 2007 they were invited by Swedish television channel’s TV3 and TV6 to play at their star-studded 20th Anniversary Party in Stockholm.
